Job Description

On behalf of Cabinets To Go, Headway Workforce Solutions is hiring dependable and self-motivated individuals who are passionate about market research. The Data Collector hired for this position will be responsible for recording consumer contact information, and promoting store visits at the DLC Home & Garden Homeshow.

The Home Show will take place Thursday, February 28th – Friday, March 10th. Pay for the position will be $17/hr. We are hiring three Data Collectors for this assignment.


Position Information:
  • Collect customer data using a lead form
  • Hand out catalogs, coupons, and store business cards
  • Set up and tear down of the booth at the trade show
  • Set up the booth the day before the show begins – Tear down the booth on the last day – Return booth materials to the store by 9am Monday
  • And all other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Remain engaged and responsive to attendees
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Must be available to work all dates and times
  • Dedicated to hitting the goals outlined by the project
  • You must be self-motivated and willing to follow specific direction
  • Must be willing to work the show each day from open to close

First Data Collector Shift:

  • Thursday, February 28th: Booth set up - TBD
  • Friday, March 1st: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Saturday, March 2nd: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Sunday, March 3rd: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Friday, March 8th: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Saturday, March 9th: 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
  • Sunday, March 10th: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Second Data Collector Shift:

  • Friday, March 1st: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Saturday, March 2nd: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Sunday, March 3rd: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Friday, March 8th: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Saturday, March 9th: 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Sunday, March 10th: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Third Data Collector Shift:

  • Monday, March 4th: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Tuesday, March 5th: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Wednesday, March 6th: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Thursday, March 7th: 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Paid Phone Training:
  • Tuesday, February 26th @ 11:00 am ET

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use their hands and fingers, grasp, reach, climb, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and use repetitive motions
  • Be exposed to fumes and odors as might be expected in any indoor environment
  • Stand, walk, and climb stairs
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs without limitations, capable of bending and kneeling, reaching and lifting, and squatting for short periods of time
  • Ability and willingness to stand for the entirety of your shift
  • Must be physically able to stand, walk and go up and down stairs
  • Ability to set up and tear down the show booth
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through speech and listening in loud and crowded locations

Compensation:
  • $17 per hour
