Job Summary

We are seeking event-experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic ambassadors to represent Eventbrite. These positions will focus on supporting the box office operations at our larger events throughout the United States. This includes ticket scanning, cashier sales, gate & box office management.  


Responsibilities and Duties
  • Responsibilities vary from position to position; however, they are all focused on box office operations. 
  • Scanning: The primary function of the ticket scanner is to scan each ticket coming through the entry gates while using the EB Organizer app. It is the ticket scanner’s responsibility to make sure invalid tickets do not enter the event and are redirected to the box office/customer service. 
  • Cashier Services: The primary function of box office cashier is to sell tickets using the Eventbrite Organizer app while providing any necessary customer support for the event attendees.
  • Staff Team Lead: The primary function of the Team Lead is to support all of the Shiftgig staff by ensuring they are properly checked into the Shiftgig app, in position for the event, manage breaks throughout the day, and be the primary point-of-contact with the event organizer. 
  • Box Office Lead: The primary function of the Box Office Lead is to support the day-of-show operations. The primary function of this position is to be an escalation point-of-contact for ticketing disputes, have a strong understanding of the Eventbrite equipment/solution, and to train other staff on the box office equipment (how to scan/sell tickets).
  • Staff must maintain a professional standard for the event.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Reliable and punctual. 
  • Event experience, preferably in a box office or registration support area.
  • Be familiar with Eventbrite’s box office app “Eventbrite Organizer”. You can learn more by watching our training videos on Youtube or by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/l/Organizer-check-in-app. 
  • Obsessed with and devoted to exceptional customer service. You are the first point-of-contact for the attendee at the event, so we must ensure a smooth, professional experience for all guests. 

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability and willingness to stand for the entirety of your shift
  • Must be physically able to stand, walk and go up and down stairs
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through speech and listening in loud and crowded locations
