Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Machine Operator for a temp to hire opportunity in Angier, NC with our partner, one of the leading manufacturer of foam concentrate, foam proportioning systems, fixed and portable foam fire fighting equipment, monitors, nozzles and specialized Big Flow pumping solutions.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
  • Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
  • Check output to ensure highest quality
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Keep records of production quantities and time
  • Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by management
  • Operate a forklift to pick orders from correct bin, package orders for shipment, and load/unload trucks.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience working on a manufacturing line
  • Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
  • Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8 hour shift
  • High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school will be appreciated
  • Forklift experience is required

Additional Information:
  • Hours are Mon- Fri (4:00 am - 12:30 pm)
  • Pay rate: $15 per hour.

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is required to talk and hear, and use hands.
  • Physical capacity sufficient to lift 35 pounds.
  • Vision required for this job includes close vision (clear vision within 20 inches).
