Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Laborer for a 12+ month contract opportunity in North East, MD with our client, a leading metal producer in the steel industry, striving to serve metal producers as the global authority in metals excellence.

Position Details:
  • Performs a variety of physical tasks in support of plant operations such as shoveling, sweeping, cleaning of equipment and parts, media blasting, finishing, painting, general ground maintenance, lifting and moving heavy objects, cleaning and preparing job sites, collecting and delivering tools and equipment, and moving office furniture.
  • May be required to drive company’s vehicle for short distance trips.
  • Other work may be assigned at Management’s direction.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education High School or Equivalent
  • Past experience preferred but not required.
  • Certifications In house training provided to obtain certifications required.
  • Driver’s license required.

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is required to talk and hear, and use hands to finger keyboard, telephone and handle other objects.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and reach with hands and arms. Vision required for this job includes close vision (clear vision within 20 inches).
  • Tools/Equipment – ability to use hand tools
  • Safety Equipment – ability to wear hard hat, safety boots, safety glasses; basic PPE

Additional Information:
  • This is a 12+ month contract position.
  • Weekdays. 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
