Job Description

Headway Hospitality, a division of Headway Workforce Solutions, is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Line Cooks/Prep Cooks for our client in the Greensboro, NC area! As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will prepare, portion, and cook food for service. You will also provide excellent customer service while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. This is a part-time position that offers pay of $12.00 per hour. We are looking to start individuals immediately!


As a Line/Prep Cook, you will:
  • Setup and stock station with necessary supplies/inventory
  • Prepare food for cooking (chopping vegetables, butchering meat, etc.)
  • Cook menu items quickly and in excellent quality
  • Clean up station and properly handle leftover foods
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Answer, report, and follow instructions
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned by management

Requirements of a Line/Prep Cook:
  • Consent to a pre-employment background check
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Previous kitchen experience as a cook preferred
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
  • Familiar with the industries’ best practices
