Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a contract opportunity in Winstead, CT with our partner, an energy industry leader committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that move the world forward. This position pays $18 - $25 per hour based on experience.

Job Duties
  • Perform a variety of facility and maintenance duties which include installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining complex mechanical and precision production and plant machinery and equipment. 
  • Perform other maintenance mechanical related functions that will maintain production equipment and machinery.
  • Test and troubleshooting, all machinery, power equipment
  • Adhere to and manage the preventive maintenance schedule and on all power equipment.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of precision production machines.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Comply with all OSHA Safety and Health standards for environmental, manufacturing and facilities.
  • Working knowledge of: Tools, materials, methods and practices used in machine maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing shop environment containing CNC machinery and other machines/production machines
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational school or other related training
  • Ability to Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Technical training and exposure to high-speed equipment
