Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions, in partnership with committed healthcare company is looking to grow their claims processing team at their corporate office in Norfolk, VA.

Salary - $16.00 per hour.

Job Duties

  • Process claims meeting departmental performance standards for production and quality.
  • Report claims adjudication and/or claims system issues to management.
  • Correctly analyze and adjudicate claims to reflect financial, check and processing accuracy
  • Answer inquiries from members, providers and internal employees in a timely and accurate manner
  • Offer outstanding customer service and follow-up to all members and providers.
  • Will be required to attend all claims refresher classes and pass a summary quiz at 90% or better.

Position Requirements:

  • Must have thorough knowledge of claim policies
  • 6 months of experience in a health care, health insurance or claims processing environment required
  • Must be comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Minimum 30 wpm typing required
  • Position will require a criminal background check and drug screen
