Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a temporary Office Assistant in Raleigh, NC. As an Office Assistant, you will perform office administrative and technical support functions. You will respond or route calls to the entire office, sort and distribute mail, scan documents and file them electronically, responsible for coordinating office services and related activities. This is a non-exempt, seasonal position.


As an Office Assistant, you will...
  • Sort and process mail received daily at the office
  • Scan documents including all newly hired temporary staff on-boarding material
  • Scan unemployment notifications, prepares responses and files electronically
  • Participate in telephonic hearings for unemployment benefits
  • Review and scan all workers compensation mail and coordinates action items with the HR Manager
  • Answer in-coming company calls and reroutes them to the appropriate party
  • Send out anniversary emails, and creates a “happy anniversary” letter with gift provided by Headway
  • Answer calls for verification of employment and completes document requests for employment information for current and past employees
  • Prepare shipping labels for express packages
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned

Education & Experience

An Associate’s Degree or a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a 4 year college or university or equivalent education and/or experience; 2 + years previous experience in an office environment. Working knowledge of spreadsheets, mail processes, Fedex, postage machines and electronic faxes.
