Job Description

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is now accepting candidates for a Payroll/HR Administrator position in the Lafayette, IN area!

As a Payroll/HR Administrator you will……

  • This position exists to provide administrative support for manufacturing operations and Human Resource functions.
  • Provide administrative support for department such as scheduling meetings, training, posting of policies, etc.
  • Maintain hourly employee personnel files
  • Input hourly employee information into PeopleSoft, input and maintain hourly employee information into OAS and Time and Attendance.
  • Retrieve and analyze Oracle shop floor report data.
  • Weekly and quarterly attendance audit, resolve payroll issues
  • Keeper of departmental bargaining unit agreements, monitor FMLA and sick leaves and identifying any issues.
  • Assist employees to resolve benefit issues, schedule departmental vacations, issue discipline notifications
  • Cross-train on all other departmental agreements, Overtime, and Time and Attendance, send garnishments to Pittsburgh
  • Assist with the transfer/reduction of forces process, Seniority calculations, Administration of 25 year club – plaques, certificates, etc.
  • Maintain training records for hourly employees

Requirements:

  • High school education is required
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Working knowledge of administrative skills, including experience in electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and data base computer skills.
  • Higher level administrative training and experience is preferred
  • Must be able to work in a plant environment and be very familiar with the bargaining unit contract.

Additional Information:

  • Hours: 8:00am - 5:00 pm
  • 3+ mth contract
