Headway Hospitality is currently seeking experienced Prep Cooks to work with a high profile client in Tarrytown, NY! This long term opportunity would provide event based work in Tarrytown with additional opportunities in New York City!

As a Prep Cook you will:
  • Follow prep list created by chefs to plan duties
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Prepare food to be distributed to vendors
  • Observe and practice all established health and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure all products are prepared, held and served at correct temperatures
  • Ensure the proper rotation, labeling and dating of all products
  • Excellent communication with management

  • 6 months experience in food preparation in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to interact as a team with co-workers and supervisors
  • Ability to self-direct and work under pressure
  • Background in culinary arts is a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds 
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to handle conditions that would be expected in a kitchen environment such as varying smells, sounds, and temperatures
