Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Procurement Admin Specialist in the Newport News, VA area for a wonderful career opportunity in the procurement or logistics field.

Hours of Position: 

  • Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • NO Weekend Hours ​

Salary $13.00 per hour


  • Previous purchasing / procurement, inventory or logistics experience helpful
  • College degree or Associates degree preferred in Accounting or Business
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred but not required
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability 
  • Strong analytical ability


  • Assist with inventory tracking of products
  • Review, analyze, and update purchase orders 
  • Provide shipping information on existing purchase orders, including shipping dates, tracking, and pro bill information. 
  • Review vendor confirmations and communicate any issues to buyers 
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Access daily for extensive reports
