Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Research Associate for a 2+ month contract opportunity Atlanta, GA with our partner, a private nonprofit applied science & technology development company.

Primary Function:
  • Conducts chemical analysis of data collected. Performs structured work assignments. Extracts information from existing databases or literature and prepares information for chemical analysis.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Performs assignments by compiling and evaluating design and test data, preparing technical specifications, analyzing technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for product, process or materials specifications.
  • Interprets results and writes small sections of technical reports.
  • Troubleshoots the testing process when expected results are not obtained. Recommends paths forward to resolve analysis problems.
  • Completes assigned project work within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Interacts primarily with internal clients.
  • Modifies existing processes or testing methods to improve quality or efficiency.

Position Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelors Degree
  • Good oral and written communications skills.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Windows and Office.
  • Attention to detail.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, type, and use a telephone.
  • The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
