Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk II for a 4+ month contract opportunity in Houston, TX with our partner, a leading provider of title insurance and transaction services to the real estate and mortgage industries, currently the nation's largest title insurance company through its title insurance underwriters.

Position Summary:

The purpose of the Accounting Clerk position is to perform accounting functions which require knowledge of accounts payable and / or accounts receivable and of reconciliation functions.

Job Description:
  • Answers customer inquires
  • Research problems and or complaints
  • Wire transfer experience
  • Creates and edits spreadsheets
  • Under direct supervision, performs entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks
  • Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy
  • Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers

  • High School; 2 years college preferred
  • Must have wire transfer experience
  • 4 – 6 years experience in a related field
  • Must be Detail oriented, able to multi task, and possess great customer service skills
  • Must have experience with Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word

Physical Demands:
  • Employee is required to talk and hear, and use hands to finger keyboard, telephone, and handle other objects
  • The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and reach with hands and arms
  • Communicate effectively through speech and listening
  • Vision required for this job includes close vision (clear vision within 20 inches)

Additional Information:
  • This is a 4+ month contract
  • The hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
