Job Description

Headway Hospitality is seeking Dish Staff members with a positive demeanor and flexible schedule to work with one of our clients, a local icon in fine dining. This role is offering 30+ hours a week, and $10/hour. Ideal candidates for this position will have good personal hygiene and grooming habits, ability to work with others, and the ability to work primarily in Raleigh, NC but occasionally in Durham, NC.


As a Dish Staff member you will:
  • Be responsible for maintaining clean and sanitized food prep equipment and dishes
  • Set up the dish machine and the dish area including soap and rinse dispensers checked, properly prepare the machine for operation, glass racks organized, linen bins placed and recycling and trash containers properly placed.
  • Complete closing duties such as:
    • Draining all the water from the dishwasher and dishwasher parts set to air dry,
    • Taking linen bins to laundry
    • Cleaning kitchen floor
    • Emptying and cleaning out trashcans
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by management

Additional Information:
  • Dish Staff Member must be able to work weekends, ‘All Hands on Deck Days’ and be flexible in scheduling.
  • Normal hours are from 4:45 p.m. (4:00 p.m. on Saturdays) to 12:00 or 1:00 a.m. However, on extremely busy days, such as All Hands on Deck Days, these hours will vary.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize in a high stress, fast-paced environment
  • Available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, and at various locations in Raleigh & Durham, NC

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, reach, and lift objects up to 50 lbs
  • Employee is required to talk and hear, and use hands.
  • Ability to work in very warm to hot air and water temperatures
