Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is seeking a General Laborer in Raleigh, NC. This position is under the direct supervision of the Lead Installer. This position is the 'backbone' of the installation crew. The primary focus of this position is furniture installation. This person is required to display a professional appearance, positive attitude, to show initiative, and a willingness to learn. This position allows the person to enhance their knowledge, ability and speed of systems furniture and case goods. Good interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Unloading, staging, and uncrating of product.
  • Inspect product and note any damage.
  • Prep the job site for installation.
  • Read and understand delivery tickets and product tagging information.
  • Manage the cleanup and trash removal of site and Storr truck.
  • Complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
  • Adhere to company dress code and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
  • Maintain a complete set of tools at all times.
  • Complete timesheet and other required paperwork/reports on a timely basis.
  • Assist other departments as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
  • Responsible for the purchase price and maintenance of tools required for the tasks in this position

Education and/or Experience:
  • Ability to follow instructions completely and successfully.
  • Basic decision making skills.
