On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is now accepting candidates for a Logistic Assistant located in Niles, Ohio. 

Job Description
As the Logistic Assistant, you will be primarily facilitating and keeping record of the movement of production orders from the planting department to the shipping and receiving department, and making sure the correct material is loaded onto the trucks for shipping. Applicants must be able to tolerate working outdoors for 50% of the time in NE Ohio weather conditions - however, there is no manual lifting or labor involved for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Communicating with the High Lift Operator to ensure correct material is loaded onto the trucks and incoming loads are sent to the correct work center. Additionally communicate with truck drivers as to what is being loaded.
• Read and interpret the information on packing lists and bills, such as heat numbers, production numbers, and piece identifications.
• Continuously order and retrieve supplies from the storeroom so that operations in the Shipping and Receiving department run smoothly.
• Locate, identify, and mark correct material that is to be loaded onto outdoor trucks.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask efficiently.
• Must be able to work outdoors for 50% of the day in different seasonal conditions.

Hours: 7:00AM – 4:00PM; Monday – Friday (weekends and holidays required per business needs)

Pay Rate: $13 / hour
