Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Machine Saw Operator for a contract opportunity in Halethrope, MD with our partner, an energy industry leader committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that move the world forward.


Job Duties
  • Process extrusions through the saws, cut to a specified length within customers and internal requirements.
  • Must cut the proper amount of samples and identify all samples by steel stenciling the proper information stated on the lot ticket / routing sheet.
  • Changes saw blade when needed, puts hydraulic oil and cutting oil in the saw when required.
  • Move saw stop when required to proper length stated on the lot ticket.
  • Change scrap tubs when required and identify alloy in tubs by tagging the tubs with proper alloy scrap tags.
  • Drives fork truck and runs RC crane.
  • Gives proper hand signals to crane operator.
  • Fills out all documentation in a timely manner.
  • Pre-operational check of saw and walking table and saw stop.
  • Is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area.

Requirements:
  • Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Exhibit positive attitude, enthusiasm, vigor and energy.
  • Must have self confidence, be a self starter taking initiative on one’s own.
  • Able to communicate written, verbal and listening.
  • Ability and willingness to train subordinates.
  • Fill out all documentation in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to write and count, read blue prints and know how to use measuring instruments, such as tape measure.

Location: Halethrope, MD

Pay Rate: $12.50 Per Hour
