Job Description

On behalf of Abt Associates, Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Part-Time Field Interviewers to work on a government sponsored research study Human Trafficking Prevalence Estimation (HTPE).

As a Field Interviewer you will assist with accurately measuring the prevalence of human trafficking within Hennepin county (Minneapolis). In this county three types of populations will be surveyed:
  • Individuals being booked in county jails.
  • Individuals on the caseloads of homeless shelters.
  • Individuals served within urgent care medical facilities.

As a Part-Time Field Interviewer, you will:
  • Adhere to a schedule set by your supervisor
  • Administer questionnaire created by Abt Associates
  • Complete the required number of surveys by the end of the data collection period in an efficient and timely manner according to project protocols
  • Accurately complete all project documentation, including electronic survey instruments and all reporting forms
  • Maintain a professional, cooperative relationship with your Field Supervisor and other project staff, objectively sharing your thoughts while displaying an understanding of project management’s concerns

  • At least 21 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Available at least 20-25 hours per week to conduct surveys during the field data collection period
  • Reliable, personal automobile available for business use
  • Flexibility in schedule to work week days and nights
  • Flexibility in weekends as well
  • Ability to read, write, and speak text verbatim
  • Must have regular access to a Wi-Fi or broadband internet for data transmissions

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
  • Travel frequently to selected faciIities
  • Be outside and exposed to all types of weather
  • Be exposed to fumes and odors as might be expected in any outdoor/indoor environment
  • Stand, walk, and climb stairs
  • Communicate through speech and listening
  • Read text verbatim from a notebook, tablet or computer screen
  • Transport a laptop computer and materials weighing approx. 12 pounds.

  • Training will be held locally and is mandatory, it will take place towards the end of June.
