Americans' Changing Lives (ACL): The Americans’ Changing Lives (ACL) study seeks to describe the major activities, satisfactions, and problems which Americans experience in major areas of their lives - family, work, and social and community activities. It seeks to discover how these vary and change across the life span of individuals and across varied social groups in our society. Among the questions the project team of this wave seeks to answer is how one’s neighborhood influences physical and mental well-being as one ages.  ACL is funded by the National Institute on Aging (NIA).
