Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Process Assistant I for a contract opportunity in Petersburg, VA with our client, one of the nation's largest producers and transporters of energy. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience with an industry leader currently operating the nation's largest natural gas storage system.

  • Under direct supervision, this role performs entry-level clerical and administrative duties that support specific workflow or phase within a business process
  • Performs routine and repetitive tasks to support transaction of a part(s) of a business process
  • Follows established policy and procedures and detailed instructions in the performance of duties
  • With limited discretion, work is closely monitored and checked
  • Duties include: opening and processing mail remittance, posting data, compiling records and reports in predetermined format, maintains and prepares simple reports and charts, performing simple calculations, etc.
  • Performs general alphabetic and numeric filing, sorting and cross-referencing
  • Maintains and updates files, records and logs according to established procedures
  • Ensures information and reports are complete and consistent with specific rules or procedures

  • Basic understanding of the operation of computerized and function-related equipment to record, store and retrieve information
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and resources
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic personal computer skills including using spreadsheet and word processing applications and SAP

  • High School Diploma or GED is required

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to sit for the majority of the shift
  • Must be able to read, write, and use telephone system

Additional Information:
  • Schedule is Monday - Friday. 7 am - 3:30 pm, with a 30 minute lunch break
  • This is a 26+ months contract
