Headway Workforce Solutions, in partnership with our client, an energy industry leader, is currently seeking a Process Engineer for a contract opportunity in Winsted, CT.

Job Description:

Position responsible for development and implementation of product into the manufacturing operation to meet production requirements and quoted cost. The major emphasis in the position is the technical support of tooling, developing work instructions, process/method definition and floor support.
Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot operations including but not limited to fixturing/clamping issues, program and/or parameter issues and expendable tooling issues until problem is resolved.
  • Poke-yoke fixturing using the fixture maintenance program or any other mistake proofing method to increase yields on high scrap operations/programs to support scrap reduction initiatives, and reduce human error.
  • Time study jobs to balance and define operator standard work. Generate standard work charts and process capacity table and compare actual performance to quoted estimates in current cost models (WPQ folder).
  • Utilize SPC charts and other process capability methods to increase first time yields to within quoted standards.
  • Perform process planning and development of newly awarded product, to include tooling procurement, standard routings, bill of materials, etc.

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay Rate: Varies based on experience
