Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking an Production Tester for a 6-month contract opportunity in Richmond, VA with our partner, a global leader in power and automation technologies.

As an Production Tester, you will...
  • Interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and other work documents to effectively assemble and troubleshoot products
  • Perform production assembly and test products as needed
  • Troubleshoot traction converters and control products in a customized application to locate fault and complete repair as required
  • Work with high power test systems and to execute the Matlab/Labview based applications to perform traction converter testing
  • Understand the functioning of the traction converter (as a machine in whole) and the functioning of individual subsystems (Power Electronics based switching modules and their interaction with controller)
  • Experience of conducting the Dielectic tests and communication tests for different protocols (Ethernet , CAN , MVB)
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance of test systems and equipment

  • 6+ months assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum Associate Degree in Electronics (or equivalent field, e.g. engineering)
  • Previous experience as a test technician preferred
  • Must successfully demonstrate ability to understand and interpret electrical schematics , drawings and other work documents to effectively assemble and troubleshoots products
