We are seeking an experienced full-time Purchasing Manager to work at the Historic Durham Bulls Stadium as a part of the Bull City Hospitality group. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for ordering, supervising staff, cleaning and stocking of food and beverage areas of an outdoor/indoor baseball stadium environment.


As a Purchasing Manager, you will..
  • Be responsible for the operational strategy related to issuing, receiving and proper storage of all F&B products and inventory.
  • Maintain low product cost, must use bids for current pricing, quality and quantities.
  • Implement systems related to the flow of purchases from needs analysis to invoice payment.
  • Maintain constant contact with Chef, Sales Department, Accounting, and Operations regarding purchases for all events.
  • Continued development of materials control software and related systems.
  • Develop strategy with respective directors as to changes in market conditions, prices, products in season, etc.
  • Be directly responsible for counting and insuring correct cost attribution on all products in F&B inventory, including pre-show and month-end inventories.
  • Be responsible for establishing warehouse processes and systems to ensure minimal shrink.

What We Need from You:
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in warehousing or related field
  • High school education
  • Ability to lift 100lbs., work in a hot and cold environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must possess a knowledge of accounting policies and procedures and POS Systems.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Certified in ServSafe and Forklift Operator is preferred.
