Job Description

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting a Contract Senior Underwriter for their client, Genworth Financial. Genworth is a leading Fortune 500 insurance holding company that is dedicated to helping people secure their financial lives, families and futures.

This is an ONSITE ONLY position 

  • Daily schedule working 11:00 am to 7 pm EST preferred.

Responsibilities of the Contract Senior Mortgage Loan Underwriter:

  • Prepare reports based on the results from the risk analysis for use in decision-making
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements of individuals or firms to determine the risk involved in extending credit or lending money
  • Assess eligibility of clients’ applications to receive mortgage

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Underwriters must have at least five years of experience with mortgage loan underwriting
  • Experience working with Conventional, DU, LP and manual underwriting
  • Thorough knowledge of underwriting policies and procedures
  • Compliance to investor guidelines and mortgage regulatory updates
