Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Service Desk Specialist for a 3+ months contract opportunity in Columbus, OH with our partner, a private, nonprofit, applied science and technology development company.


Job description

The Service Desk provides a central point of contact for IT technical support and problem resolution. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming questions by phone, ticketing system, Chat and email.
  • Assisting users in IT problem recognition, research, isolation, and resolution.
  • Providing technical support for business applications, operating systems, utility software, remote access, security software, and telecommunications.
  • Assisting in the development of user documentation
  • Working within a team environment

Requirements:
  • Minimum of Associates degree in Computer Science or related IT major
  • 1+ years of proven relevant Service Desk experience within the past 4 years.
  • Experience with a Call Management and Ticketing System.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience troubleshooting and resolving Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2013/2016 issues. Including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience installing and uninstalling software.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Active Directory (resetting passwords, creating and deleting groups).
  • Experience troubleshooting two-factor authentication issues.
  • Experience providing support by Remote Desktop Connection.
  • Experience with supporting mobile devices (iPhone/Android/iPad).
  • 1-2 years experience troubleshooting wired and wireless data communications and connectivity issues.
  • Experience with installing desktop backup software and restoring data.
  • Knowledge and experience with computer navigation, functionality and terminology.
  • Ability to capture and document issues and resolutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services.
  • Experience with RSA Authentication Manager.
  • Good Technology Administration.
  • Experience using ServiceNow.
  • Experience supporting and using AnyConnect.

Additional Information
  • This is a 3+ months contract.
